PEACE ORDERS
IN MARYLAND

A person is eligible for a Peace Order IF within the preceding thirty days before filing one or more of the following acts occurred:

• An act that causes serious bodily harm;
• An act that places you in fear of immediate serious bodily harm;
• Assault in any degree;
• Attempted or actual rape or sexual offense; as defined by MD Criminal Code 3-303-308 ;
• False imprisonment;
• Harassment as defined by MD Criminal Code 3-803;
• Stalking as defined by MD Criminal Code 3-802;
• Trespass;
• Malicious destruction of property as defined by MD Criminal Code 6-301;
• Misuse of telephone facilities and equipment, Md. Code Ann., Crim. Law 3-804;
• Misuse of electronic communication or interactive computer service, Md. Code Ann., Crim. Law 3-805;
• Revenge porn Md. Code Ann., Crim. Law 3-809; or
• Criminal visual surveillance Md. Code Ann., Crim. Law 3-901, 3-902, or 3-903
